Allison Crooker
You may know her as the director of event content at VMware, but you may not know that Allison has been an event content professional not only for tech companies but also for publications, independent conference organizers, and her own companies.
Allison is an expert in event content strategy!
With over 25 years of experience in the field, she has helped numerous organizations develop and execute successful event content strategies. Allison is highly knowledgeable in the areas of event content marketing, digital event platforms, and event planning, and has a proven track record of success. Named by Bizzabo as one of the Top 55 Experience Leaders, Allison is passionate about the power event content has to develop memorable experiences that leave lasting impressions on attendees.
HOW SHE GOT HERE…
Allison enjoyed an incredibly happy childhood growing up in Brooklyn, NY with summers on Martha’s Vineyard. She learned about respect and authority from her beloved Nana during those years and that desire to please those in authority propelled her to excel in academia - being accepted to and graduating from Harvard/Radcliffe College and Harvard Business School.
But the path to where she is now was not always smooth and straight. Allison encountered bumps along the road. But, in retrospect, she credits the Lord with bringing her across all the bumps and through all the fires and credits Him for grounding her in her life principles.
Allison and her husband happily live in the woods of North Carolina surrounded by the people they love with their beloved dog, Jax.

ERICA SPOOR
As CEO and Chief Event Strategist for the Impact Point Group, Erica is passionate about helping her team and clients shine brilliantly by staying ahead of the latest trends and blending what she calls “the art and science” of events to deliver outcome-driven and audience-focused event experiences and event portfolios.
Using proprietary event strategy methodologies, developed through work with Fortune 100-500 event marketing teams for the past two decades, she has the privilege of guiding her team in helping clients develop strategically aligned, company-wide event portfolios, inventing and reimagining event brands for better results, measuring event impact, and creating compelling content and speaker programming that inspires audience and business outcomes.
Erica thrives in the visionary leader role.
She has pioneered industry standards for event strategy, while advising leaders in renowned technology brands, including Cisco Systems, Atlassian, ServiceNow, and DocuSign. A self-proclaimed content “geek” she is also co-founder and IPG’s underwriting sponsor of the Event Content Council.
MARYAM SCOBLE
BOARD SECRETARY
Maryam has been planning conferences and managing speakers for the last 20+ years. She loves her job as she gets to travel and meet and work with some of the smartest and most passionate people in the world.
As a recovering English major, Maryam loves reading books on her time off.
But hardly gets the chance as she and her family love to go on road trips and explore the trails around the United States. She lives in south San Jose with her husband and two boys. They all look forward to holidays when her stepson visits from NYC.
